Fire Engulfs Surfboard Factory in Spanish Basque Country

A fire erupted Monday at Olatu (Pukas) surfboard factory in the Spanish Basque Country, engulfing the factory in flames.

According to authorities, the cause of the blaze that was reported around 5:00 pm local time is still unknown, although presumably related to the factory’s use of flammable materials.

A fire erupted at the Pukas factory Monday evening. The cause is unknown.

Six firefighters have reportedly been transported to various hospitals in the area and are being treated for potential poisoning from the fumes.
