But here’s something to remember: no matter how successful pro surfing gets, no matter how many jerseys the WSL sells, no matter how much you hate feeling as though you’re watching the soul of surfing getting sucked down a wave pool’s drain, there will always be surfing—real surfing.
That fact is accepted in every other pro sport, but for some reason, surfers can’t seem to accept a non-surfer at the helm of a surfing company. So who is Erik Logan?
