The world premiere of the new Nathan Fletcher documentary–aptly titled “Heavy Water”, based on the hard-charging hellman’s big-wave pursuits–starts tonight and you can catch the film on the big screen at a theater near year.

If you’d like to hear more about how Fletcher has become one of the most respected names in the sport of surfing (oh, and to see him land a massive acid drop out of helicopter), check out the film at a theater near you.

Fletcher grew up pushing the level of progression above the lip with his aerial stunts, then started focusing more on charging the biggest paddle waves he could find.

He’s the younger brother of the punk-rock aerial pioneer Christian Fletcher, son of the iconic Herbie Fletcher and grandson of the North Shore-pioneering Walter Hoffman.
