Tyler Wright Wins The 2016 Women’s World Title – Wins her first-ever title after Courtney Conlogue falls in Roxy Pro Semifinals

The Women’s World Title race came down to Finals Day of the year’s penultimate event: Tyler Wright has officially claimed her first World Title after defeating Tatiana Weston-Webb in the semifinals, and after World No. 2 Courtney Conlogue was eliminated by Carissa Moore in the following semifinal heat. “There’re a lot of reasons I set out to win this World Title that I didn’t talk about with the public,” Wright said. “I lost an uncle of mine, and this was the last event he ever saw me compete in.
